The New Lawyers Section is dedicated to high-quality professional development events that provide low or no-cost options for new attorneys to obtain their required CLEs.  Past events have included brown bag lunches, CLE opportunities, SKI-LE evens, a panel on expert witnesses, a bench-bar conference with new federal and state judges, a discussion on mediation, a conversation with Attorney General Janet Mills in Augusta, a discussion on Candor Toward the Tribunal with Louise Thomas and Maine Supreme Court Justice Donald Alexander, and an overview of the legislative process and lobbying.

 

We also offer sessions at the Maine State Bar Association bar conferences, and have presented on topics including marketing technology and effective training of new attorneys.
